Skeeter Davis - Singin' In The Summer Sun (1966)

From Beatman:
Skeeter Davis - Singin' In The Summer Sun (1966)
Continuing the theme 'Private Collection - Overview Albums'...
This time - the popular American singer Skeeter Davis, defined in 60's style pop-country. She started her musical career back in the 50's in the beginning as part of the duet The Davis Sisters, and then solo...
This is the eighth album in her discography - in the style of sunshine pop, which is reflected and in the title. Skeeter sings here original songs and a few 'evergreens': 'Under The Boardwalk' - the hit of The Drifters in 1964; (Theme From) A Summer Place - from the same movie of 1959; Summertime - aria from opera 'Porgy & Bess' by George Gershwin...
All selected tracks are restored and remastered for a good modern sound...

Everyone who knows the blog "Old Melodies" or earlier "Wings of Dream" for many years, knows that there are large archives of music here since 2007 ... 98% of the links up to 2015 are dead. I will gradually be engaged in their recovery. This takes a very long time, so the answers to requests will be minimal and in no way will be accepted from anonymous users. I spend a very long time on my uploads. Please, find a couple of seconds to sign your comment or message. I hope for understanding...
