The Troggs are known today as a mid-sixties garage band who had managed a few hits. Not very professional, most novice guitarists could probably play these songs as most are a 3 chord progression (and possibly a fourth chord) if you want to get adventuress.

Most of the songs are elementary and the subject matter is yearning to get that elusive girl which has caught your fancy. In fairness, some of the songs are tepid rock and enjoyable since it does not require you to really think too much about them. Some fun, yes, but a novelty of the times.

Believe it or not, there are considerable tunes here. They give you the classic "Wild Thing" with that jagged opening beginning chord. And then the sensual declarations , i.e; "you move me".

We also have "With a Girl Like You", "I Can't Control Myself", and "Love is All Around." These songs elevate the other songs since they are the best on this compilation. A pleasant effort even if it's not essential.~ Kevin Noroski
