Even if you haven`t heard of half the artists here (and the presence of The Kinks, PP Arnold, The Small Faces and Desmond Dekker makes up for that) you really should introduce yourself to Tommy Tucker`s original `High Heel Sneakers`, Betty Everett`s smokin` `Getting Mighty Crowded` and The Alan Bown Set`s `Baby Don`t Push Me`. With a full eighteen (out of forty) `The` bands included, this is the music that made Mod the coolest youth cult of the twentieth century.
