1. The Illusions - Try (2:17)
The Illusions were a band from Amarillo, Texas . They went through numerous name changes before finally calling themselves The Kitchen Cinq. "Try" was recorded in 1966 and is from the Kitchen Cinq anthology "When the Rainbow Disappears: An Anthology 1965-68".

2. Mouse and The Traps - Maid of Sugar, Maid of Spice (2:37)
Mouse and The Traps were from Tyler, Texas. "Maid of Sugar, Maid of Spice" was released as a single in 1966. Allmusic.com describes Mouse and the Traps as "a fine band who was probably too chameleon-like to find their niche in the national market"

3. The Remains - Once Before (2:06)
The Remains hailed from Boston, Massachusetts. The band  were immortalized on Lenny Kaye’s seminal 60s punk compilation, Nuggets, but the track "Once Before" hails from their sole self-titled album released in 1966.

4. Pintura Fresca - Shake (2:18)
Pintura Fresca were an Argentinian rock band. They specialized in covers from other bands, "Shake" was released as a b-side single in 1968.

5. Linda van Dyck with Boo & The Boo-Boos - Stengun (2:53)
Linda Van Dyck is a famous Dutch actress, who started out as a singer/songwriter in the 60's. Out of the four singles she recorded, "Stengun" was the only garage/psych release, coming out in 1966.

6. Barefacts - Tell Me (2:18)
Little is known about Barefacts, a family band from Bear Creek, Alabama who lived in Osceola, Arkansas in the summer of 1968. While there they recorded "Tell Me" which was released as a single the same year.

7. The Velvet Illusions - Town of Fools (2:16)
Velvet Illusions, from Yakima, Washington, had influences spanning from R&B standards, the British Invasion, to early psychedelia. They recorded five singles in their brief recording career, "Town of Fools" released as a b-side single in 1967.

8. The Argyles - Turn On Your Love Light (3:13)
The Argyles came from San Antonio, Texas. The band soon changed their name to The Mind's Eye, eventually morphing into The Children. "Turn On Your Love Light" appeared as a single b-side in 1967.

9. The Kings Ransom - Without You (3:45)
The Kings Ransom were from Allentown, Pennsylvania. "Without You", recorded in 1966, was unreleased until appearing on various garage rock compilations, such as "Garageaholic! Psychedelic! Outsider Music!".

10. The Mops - Atsuku Narenai (3:25)
The Mops are one of Japan’s best know “group sounds” bands, forming in 1966. "Atsuku Narenai" appeared as a b-side single in 1968.

11. The Sevens - Talk About Her (2:09)
The Sevens were a Swiss band from Basel. "Talk About Her" comes from their self-titled only album, released in 1966.

12. The Namelosers - That's Allright (1:50)
The Namelosers from Malmö in Sweden, recorded "That's Allright" in 1966, remaining unreleased until the band anthology "Fabulous Sounds from Southern Sweden" came out in 1989.

13. The Unrelated Segments - It's Gonna Rain (2:26)
The Unrelated Segments were a band from Taylor, Michigan. "It's Gonna Rain" appeared as a b-side single in 1967.

14. Bob Seger & The Last Heard - East Side Story (2:25)
Bob Seger, from Detroit in Michigan, is probably the most well known name on this compilation. "East Side Story" was the first single with his group The Last Heard, coming out in 1966.

15. The Brain Train - Me (2:23)
The Brain Train came from Los Angeles, California. They released just the one single, "Me", in 1967 before changing their name to Clear Light.

16. The Continental Co-Ets - I Don't Love You No More (2:52)
The Continental Co-ets were an all-female band from Fulda, in Minnesota. "I Don't Love You No More" was released as a single in 1966.

17. F.L. Wray and The Moon Men - Other Side of the Moon (2:08)
F.L. Wray and The Moon Men is, of course, Link Wray. Wray, from Dunn, North Carolina recorded under many side projects, such as this single "Other Side of the Moon" released in 1964.

18. The Basement Wall - Never Existed (reprise) (1:53)
The Basement Wall were a band from from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The song "Never Existed" first appeared as a single in 1967 and has appeared on many compilations. This version only saw the light of day in 1985 with the release of the anthology "The Incredible Sound Of..."

19. The Rokes - No, No, No (2:40)
The Rokes originated from London, but made their name in Italy. "No, No, No" comes from their 1966 album "Volume 2".

20. The Ragamuffins - Chances (3:04)
The Ragamuffins were the proto-version of the Music Machine, hailing from Los Angeles in California. "Chances", recorded in 1965, eventually appeared on the Music Machine anthology "Ignition" in the year 2000.

21. Bob Hocko & the Swamp Rats - Hey Freak (2:17)
Bob Hocko & the Swamp Rats originated from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Though they released a handful of singles in the mid 60s, "Hey Freak" which was recorded in 1967 never saw the light of day until the release of the anthology "Disco Still Sucks!" in 2003.

22. Syndicate of Sound - Rumors (2:05)
Syndicate of Sound formed in San Jose, California. "Rumors" first appeared on the album "Little Girl" in 1966, being released as a single later the same year.

23. The Dynamites - Tunnel Tengoku (2:52)
The Dynamites were a Japanese band formed in 1965. "Tunnel Tengoku" was released as a single in 1967.

24. The Outsiders - Don't You Cry (2:21)
The Outsiders, based in Amsterdam, were one of the most popular homegrown bands in the Netherlands from 1965 to 1967. "Don't You Cry" is from their debut album "Outsiders", released in 1967.

25. The Mascots - I Want to Live (2:43)
The Mascots were a fairly successful Swedish group, but only in their homeland. The single "I Want to Live" was released in 1966.

26. Paul Revere & The Raiders - Corvair Baby (2:29)
Paul Revere & The Raiders, initially based in Boise, Idaho before relocating to Portland in Oregon, were a highly successful band in the USA. "Corvair Baby" was the b-side of a promo only single given away free by Chevrolet dealers.

27. Gary Walker - She Makes Me Feel Better (2:02)
Gary Walker (real name Gary Leeds), from Glendale, California was originally a member of The Walker Brothers. "She Makes Me Feel Better" was a b-side solo release from 1966.

28. The Luv'd Ones - Up Down Sue (2:04)
The Luv'd Ones were an all-female group, from Niles in Michigan. "Up Down Sue" was a b-side single from 1966.

29. The Freaks of Nature - People! Let's Freak Out (2:33)
The Freaks of Nature were actually a pseudonym for the Irish band Belfast Gipsies. "People! Let's Freak Out", produced by Kim Fowley, was originally released as a single in 1966.

30. The Atlantics - Come On (2:53)
The Atlantics were an Australian band, originating from Sydney. "Come On" was released as a b-side single in 1967.
