Eclection was formed in August 1967 in London. Although the group is nominally considered British, in reality it is completely international. It consists of a Norwegian with russian roots Georg Hultgreen, a Canadian Mike Rosen, Australians Kerrilee Male and Trevor Lucas, and only one Briton Gerry Conway. They were one of the few folk bands to sign to Elektra Records and were a favorite of owner and company founder Jac Holzman. After the release of their only and fairly successful album in 1968, the group toured the UK extensively, performed at the Isle Of Wight Festival along with Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan and made a very good impression on the stars and the public. 

But in October 1968, singer Kerrilee Male went home to Australia and was replaced by American singer Dorris Henderson. 

With her, the group released only one single and in the fall of 1969 the group broke up.

Rosen became one of the leaders of Cressida, our Georg Johan formed the Sailor gang, Trevor Lucas (another member of Eclection) became not only a member of Fairport Convention and Fotheringay, but also the husband of Sandy Denny, vocalist Doris Henderson could not come to terms with the imminent death of the band and later created Dorris Henderson's Eclection, but all these are other stories...
