And another interesting find from the same Soulseek. And as always, if you take something from this source, it is often difficult to say what kind of release it is, who the author is, etc. ... Especially if it is a collection outside the label, but made by hand... I could not find additional information on this collection, but it deserves our attention both for its interesting compositions and the design of the collection itself. So thanks to both the author and the one who was able to share this. Enjoy.

ReplyDeleteI downloaded "Adelaide Bands" from the now defunct (and sadly missed) Midoztouch site around 2010/11. As well as postings of out of print Australian and New Zealand LPs, there were a number of contributors who compiled collections from their own 45s. I'm sorry, I didn't note who compiled this one.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Until a while there was a very interesting Australian online rock radio - Midoztouch Radio. Now all the links to the site and the radio are not working...
DeleteMy friend Dmitrich.
ReplyDeleteThese private works are very interesting and I think we should spread them. A lot of effort, enthusiasm and time has been put into them, often with results superior to the official records. It would be very sad if they were lost forever.
I encourage you to continue with these works.
Greetings from Spain.
Jose
Hi Jose
DeleteThank you for your comment, my friend. I absolutely agree with you in everything. It is enough to read the comments to understand that it is worth continuing this work for this alone...
In addition to efforts and enthusiasm, people put their souls into them, which often distinguishes them from official collections. They sound on a nostalgic string, understandable to all of us. I have great respect for such works.
And of course, in addition to everything else, these are sometimes new discoveries. This should not be lost, although, unfortunately, a lot has already been lost due to the closure of many unique sites, forums... Therefore, as far as possible, I will of course continue this work.
Once again, thank you for the comment and for the work that you do on your blog. Good luck, my friend. In touch
I agree with Jose. As a new explorer to the music blogs and finding, to me, unheard bands and music keep up the good work. I regret what I have missed and didn't know existed mike
ReplyDeleteI agree completely too!!
