V.A. Decca Beat Rarities Vol. 11-40 + Farewell

Well, we are going to finish this series of the best singles released by the Decca label in the sixties, with volumes 11 to 40, each of them has about thirty songs, so you have guaranteed fun. I do not put the track-lists, it would be eternal, but it is a very homogeneous collection, so if you like one volume you like all of them.

This is my last post on this blog. I started with great enthusiasm, but little by little I got cold, and meditating on the words deGallo friend, telling me that this blog was not for me, I understood that he was absolutely right. Each blogger raises his blog in his own way and I have always tried to maintain the spirit that I already had, which in many ways was different from my way of understanding blogs. I think my absence will not be noticed, as good music will continue to be published, which is more than enough for most visitors.

A pleasure to have shared some of my favorite music on this blog.

The Beatles - The Decca Tapes

V.A. Decca Beat Rarities Vols. 6 - 10

In the first part of this collection, the friend Lemonflag commented that for him the best British label was EMI. Surely he is right, although I clarified that possibly in beat sounds it was DECCA, in the end an unimportant question. What if it had a great influence in achieving supremacy was perhaps DECCA's refusal to sign "The Beatles", arguing that they did not like their sound, but they tried to remedy it by signing "The Rolling Stones", but the winning horse that they were "The Beatles" had already flown to the other label, which gave immense benefits to the rival company. If these two bands had been in Decca, they would surely have monopolized the entire British market.

Well, these five more volumes present us with another good handful of singles, more or less as in the previous ones. Well known bands with others that had little impact Another selection very easy to hear, thanks to those exciting sounds that shook both Great Britain and the whole world.
