The name of the group Sincron is associated with the name of Cornel Fugaru, a student of the composition class at the Bucharest Conservatory, who founded the group in the fall of 1964, with the first stage performance recorded on October 22, 1964 at the Lenin House of Culture. Cornell played the organ and was also the lead singer of the band. Initially, they took the songs "beat" from the international repertoire (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Who, Monkees, Ventures, Shadows), which they played at the dance evenings of the House of Culture. Their role as "jukeboxes" was extremely useful at a time when musical information was completely lacking, and many young people got to know the famous hits of British bands not directly from the source, but through the group Sincron.

In 1965, drummer Elijah Michalache was replaced by Dora Doncha. This line-up became the formula that led to the fame of the band, which gave in the period from 1965 to 68 years.numerous concerts, which were very much enjoyed by the audience, who came into direct contact with the rock band for the first time. In addition to materials from the international repertoire, Sincron also composed their own plays, most of which are reworkings of folklore plays, "Hăulita", "Alunelu", therefore, it did not create problems with reception from the authorities, and therefore they are constantly supported and even encouraged. The band attracts a huge group of devoted fans, who mostly storm with letters and phone calls to the editors of Radio and Television, demanding the band's presence in many music shows. And then you could go to a synchronized concert and wheeze, singing along with Cornel Fugaru: “Hulita de Gorj“, "Alunelu’”, “Lilly" or “Monday, Monday"..

During this period, television short films were born: "Eight minutes of dreams" and "eight exercises for 625 lines," in which Anda Monagheanu also appears with the group. They are also invited to Electrecord Studios, where they are recording their first LP with songs in English, as well as several EPS with their own compositions or in collaboration with Margaret Pislaru and Anda Monagheanu. They will also appear on an LP with Mondial and Electrecord, which will be re-released on the Amiga label.

But unfortunately, as in the case of the Savoy group, the support of the authorities played a cruel joke with Sincron, they found themselves trapped by officials who gave them a number of benefits, contracts with the Konstantin Tenase theater, tours around the country and even abroad, current appearances on television and in movies, all this to counteract the impact they had on the younger supporters other insurgent and non-traditional groups. Thus, a false illusion was created that this was real Romanian rock, and “if you want to sing this kind of rock, you should also sing like Sincron.” And since this was not supported by the rock audience in Romania, who were “a little bit but smart,” the boomerang effect was also noticed this time. With the excessive media coverage of Sincron, the loyal audience's interest in the band's concerts has really disappeared. 

Since 1969, the rock audience has been increasingly attracted to bands playing psychedelic rock, so Sincron,paying tribute to the successes of the beat, begins to lose popularity. The change in musical orientation made in 1970 to soul and commercial music led to the fact that they received several contracts in bars and restaurants throughout the country and abroad. 

Despite everything, Sincro remains the first Romanian beat and rock'n'roll band and the authors of the first dynamic rock show with a vocal soloist with personality and excellent stage performance.
