  4. Nice collection - except for the tracks by The Mark Five. This is NOT the same band as The Mark Four who later evolved into The Creation. Further confusion arises when you find out there was another band simply called Mark Four.
Having said that, there are two tracks on acetate somewhere by The Mark Four which haven't yet made it onto any compilation. Possibly, they could be demo tracks prior to The Creation forming, with Herbie Flowers on bass. Does anyone have a clue about these? I'd like to hear them, as would several other fans of both The Mark Four and The Creation.

  5. Vernon Joynsons say:

    Mark Five Personnel:
    JOHN DALTON bs A
    JACK JONES drms A
    EDDIE PHILLIPS gtr A
    KENNY PICKETT vcls A
    MICK THOMPSON gtr A

    Baby What's Wrong/Tango (Fontana TF 513) 1964

With the addition of rhythm guitarist Mick Thompson The Mark Four briefly became Mark Five for the above 45. Baby What's Wrong was a rather ordinary uptempo song whilst Tango was rather unusual with a distinctive beat.
