While working on previous reposts from the Jancy collection, I remembered that it was exactly 14 years ago, that I received the first letter from Wolfgang, whom we know as Jancy

This was the beginning of our friendship and collaboration on the Wings Of Dream blog.

Wolfgang did not want to become a co-author. But, from my point of view, remaining in the shadows, he became the main author of the blog for many years. Thanks to him, the blog became filled with interesting music and rare, unique finds. We were all waiting for the continuation of this story. But...

Jancy did not have an easy fate. These were family difficulties and not very good (and recently very bad) health, and yet he found the strength to give us joy from music, which he generously shared with us.

In his last letter he wrote to me - “If I don’t answer your letter, you will understand what happened...”

This sounds fatal. I wrote him several letters and all without an answer... That's why I don't know whether my friend is alive or not. But wherever he is, let's remember him with a kind word.

Since most of the volumes of the Heimatliche Klaenge series on the blog have broken links, I will gradually begin to restore this wonderful series.
