Originally released as 2 LP in 1972. While the album was marketed as being a live performance, two of the album's songs ("You Gotta Roll" and "Cheater") were actually studio recordings with dubbed applause. ( Wikipedia ). Lee Pickens (1997 interview) singled out that particular gig as the band's finest : "Yes, without question it would have to be, I believe Saturday May 1, 1971 at the Chicago Amphitheater with Grand Funk Railroad. There was over 20,000 people going absolutely nuts and at the end of the show we destroyed most of our equipment onstage à la Who. The live album was that show" (Discogs).
