Subtitled 'unreleased Dove Recording studio cuts, 1964-1969, ' this small Minneapolis based studio ran groups thru its door one after another and this hefty 27 track single disc comp almost runs as a document of styles and trends running from early 1964 to 1968. From the gritty romp of Mike Waggoner and the Bops and the Underbeats to the closing pyschedelia of Michael Yonkers ("Micro Miniature Love" winning some kind of award for just plain weird in any generation), there's a pile of interesting music here that's more than deserving of finally getting to see the light of day. One that 60s garage band fans will relish.
