01 The Travelers - Beach Boy
Dayton, Ohio 1963-7?
The Travelers were a Dayton band strongly influenced, at least on record, by the Beach Boys, with 3 and 4 part harmonies. The band was led by Robbie Buell, who wrote the band's original songs. The Travelers recorded 2 45s at Mega City, and one additional recording, called appropriately enough "Beach Boy" for the Dayton Scene sampler LP.
02 Juletta's Valiants - Love Me Not Tomorow
Dayton, Ohio 1966-7?
The Valiants were a Dayton teen band that had a girl singer, Juletta, with the rest of the band being all guys. They were part of the Dayton Scene LP.

03 Jerry and the Others - Don't Cry To Me
Dayton, Ohio
This Dayton combo was one of the top bands around for several years. In 1966 they recorded one song on the WONE The Dayton Scene LP, "Don't Cry To Me", that has gained fame as one of the great teen garage numbers from the area.
04 The Citations - Good Love
Dayton, Ohio 1963-7...
The Citations were one of the first and most popular of Dayton's salt and pepper bands. The group featured a full band and horn section with three lead singers. The group recorded a 45 for Vangee that was a good sized local hit and leased to Fraternity. The group made an appearance on the WONE Dayton Scene LP as well.

05 The Warlocks - You Should've Listen

06 The Vondells - A Loser
The Vondells were a pretty popular teen band in the Dayton area. The band members seemed to be from the Belmont and Kettering areas. The band members included Gary Hamilton (bass), Steve Dill (lead guitar), Dennis Linville (rhythm guitar), and Jim Wagner (drums). The band recorded one song for the WONE Dayton Scene LP, "A Loser". The balladly British Invasion style song was written by Gary Hamilton.

08 The Forums - Bring It On Back
Dayton, Ohio 1963-7?
Randy and the Viceroys were a band of students from Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton. The band included Randy Emerick (sax), Erick Meyer (guitar), Dale Meyer (drums), Raplh Pence (keyboards), George Dalhamer (bass), Jim Dossett (vocals), and Royce Shirley (vocals). The band recorded one 45 for the Airway label. Randy and Royce left the band and the group renamed themselves the Forvms (a 'Latin' spelling of Forums). They participated in the WONE Dayton battle of the bands and earned a place on the LP for their original song "Bring It On Back". The popularity of this song got Prism to release it on a 45.

09 The Raging Winds - Tell Me Who
10 The Dawks - Good Thing
Dayton, Ohio 1964-6.
The Dawks were fronted by Terry Lawson, with Jim Henson on lead guitar, Mike Clark on rhythm guitar, Louis Gore on drums, and Larry Henry on bass (later replaced by Steve Frederick).
The Dawks recorded a song, an original called "Good Thing", for the WONE Dayton Scene LP. The song got some positive feedback and Prism decided to release a 45 - so the Dawks recorded a version of "Poison Ivy" (both songs recorded at Mega-Sound) and the sides were released on Prism. ** For some reason this record has never been found by anyone, so it's probably only an acetate.
11 The Harrisons - I Know That I Love You
Dayton, Ohio 1966
The Harrisons were from the Dayton area. They recorded one song for the WONE Dayton Scene LP. The song is a cover of the song written and recorded by Rick and the Raiders, pre-McCoys.

12 The Gillian Row - Gloria
Dayton, Ohio 1966-7
The Gillian Row came from the Belmont area of Dayton, and included Joe Higgins, the brother of Pictorian Skifful member Jim Higgins. The band's sole recording was a raw and tough version of "Gloria" that was recorded around the same time as the Shadows Of Knight version was breaking. The recording was the last song on side 2 of the WONE Dayton Scene LP.
