Milly Scott

Marion Henriëtte Louise Molly (born December 29, 1933 in Den Helder, Suriname) is a Dutch singer and actress.

As a singer, she participated in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Eurovision song contest

For the Eurovision Song Contest 1966, Scott represented the Netherlands with Fernando and Filippo.

She became 15th out of 18 participants with this song. It is often seen as the first 'black' act that the Netherlands sent to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Although Anneke Grönloh preceded Scott two years earlier with You Are My Life, her music is by no means considered exotic or 'black'.
