Mid-60s highschool beat band from London, Ontario, Canada
at University of Western Ontario
"The Tempests have played around at the university of Western Ontario for the past two years. During this period of time, they have also managed to perform at many campus functions, in addition to devoting as much of their spare time as can reasonably be expected to the books. One of them has recently acquired, through no fault of his own, the degree of M.E.Sc.; two have somehow managed to attain M.B.A. degrees; and three are, by rather devious and questionable means, attempting to graduate in the near future.
Teenbeat obscurity with moody cover shot of the six band members' heads arranged to form a human pyramid! This is the Canadian Tempests, not the guys who did "Rockin' Rochester" or the soul group. The album is listed in both the Hans Pokora book and the Acid Archives. Super-rare record on the ultra-obscure Arkon label, which only had about half a dozen releases. This would probably qualify as a private press. Virtually unknown and unseen. This is an original Canadian first and only pressing. Never released on CD. A great rare piece of Canadian music history."
