Poppies (Assorted Finery From The First Psychadelic Age)

This compilation is designed to showcase the breath of music touched by psychedelia in the late 1960s whether it be pop, folk or rock. This eclectic mix of psychedelic masters is drawn from the Vangaurd, Original Sound, and Stax catalogs. This will be the first-time official reissue for several tracks in including The Human Jungle, with many others presented in their rare mono incarnation. This will be the first of a planned series of rarities that will include future volumes dedicated to 1960s garage rock and sunshine pop. Key tracks include Buffy Sainte-Marie – Poppies, Jefferson Lee – Sorcerella, Honey Jug – In 1852.

Enjoy.
